The first restaurant from Chef Stephen Ross and Chef Stephen Paul, or simply "The Steves", Mortar & Pestle brings an eclectic variety of globally inspired cuisine that is rooted in tradition. Originally meeting while working in the kitchen of Art Smith's, Table Fifty-Two, the two chef's hoped to open a breakfast place of their own one day. Their dreams finally came true in 2015 when they opened their doors on November 2nd. Mortar & Pestle is about getting back to the basics, making everything by hand with high quality ingredients. Even the stylish and sleek, yet rustic interior is built by the same chefs cooking your food.
